As you will be aware, unprecedented bushfires are currently raging in Australia leaving in their wake a huge destructive toll in terms of land left in ashes, homes and habitats devastated and the deaths of both residents and firefighters.

To put the fire damage in perspective, some 900,000 hectares were lost in the 2019 Amazon fires and around 800,000 hectares burned in the 2018 California wildfires. In contrast, around six million hectares of land has currently been burned in Australia and the fires continue to spread. That has, of course, left a trail of destruction - multiple lives lost, thousands of people displaced, homes destroyed, and half a billion animals killed. 

You will know that many of us at R20 Advisory have connections with Australia and this devastation is therefore even more real. We are therefore taking the unprecedented step of reaching out in the hope you can assist. We appreciate that many of you may already have made donations, but given the scale of the ongoing and unabating tragedy, please consider donating further if possible.
